We are proud to announce the opening of application receptions for the FY2018 Youth Ambassadors program (YAP). YAP brings together high school students between 15 and 18 years old and adult mentors from countries across the Americas to promote mutual understanding, increase leadership skills, and prepare youth to make a difference in their communities. Participants will engage in workshops, community service activities, team building exercises, meetings with community leaders, and home stays with American families. Upon their return home, the students apply what they have learned to implement projects that serve needs in their communities. Please click on the following link to apply for the program as a high student.
We will also recruit two adult mentors living in Haiti who will assume the important responsibility of accompanying and guiding youth through their experience and motivate the youth to be active participants before, during, and after the exchange. For the mentor application, click here.
Applications for scholars and mentors are open until Wednesday January 31, 2018.
