The Security Cooperation Office Donation Aimed At Curbing the COVID 19 Pandemic in Haiti

Port Au Prince Haiti, 9 July 2020 – The Security Cooperation Office from the United States Embassy in Port Au Prince donated $30,000 in humanitarian assistance aimed at curbing the COVID 19 pandemic in Haiti. 

The sanitation products including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hand sanitizer, masks and bleach were provided to the city of Cap Haitien with support from Haiti’s Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC).  The locally purchased products will go to support the people of Haiti in the northern areas of the country and will directly impact those most in need.  The Mayor of Cap Haitien, Yvrose Pierre was present to take delivery of the items and ensure their safe transport to Cap Haitien. 

The Security Cooperation Office has performed several similar projects valued at more than $120,000 in Haiti since the outbreak of the COVID19 pandemic.
