Storm Update, August 1, 2016, 3:15 p.m.
The center of the storm (Invest 97L) is currently passing to the south of Haiti but inclement weather, including high winds and rain, is expected for much of Haiti through the evening and into early Tuesday. The Haitian Ministry of Interior has issued an alert for people to take precautions throughout the country, and particularly in the Southern peninsula. The Embassy has been informed that all local flights to/from Jeremie, Les Cayes, Jacmel, and Port-au-Prince airports are cancelled for today.
