Events: The United States Embassy reports a peaceful protest taking place in front of the Embassy’s Consular entrance. Please temporarily limit travel to this area.
U.S. citizens are reminded to always use caution when traveling, and to avoid roadblocks and demonstrations. Please keep in mind that demonstrations, even peaceful ones, can escalate quickly and even turn violent. The Embassy urges all U.S. citizens to remain vigilant, be aware of their surroundings, and avoid large crowds as much as possible. Should you find yourself among or near protesters, depart the area immediately.

- Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and
- If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.
