Security Alert – U.S. Embassy Port-au-Prince, Haiti (September 10, 2018)

Location: Rt. National 1 in the Archaie area. Also, Rt. National 2 in Carrefour.

Events:

Rt. National 1 is now closed in the Archaie area due to road blocks.

Rt. National 2 is still closed due to protests in Carefour.

Burning tires continue to be reported in multiple areas, but generally on a small scale.

Actions to Take:

Continue to use caution when driving in Port au Prince.
Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks or protests. Turn around and find a safer route.
