Protest March 20, 2017

The U.S. Embassy has learned that the earlier protest on Boulevard Harry S. Truman has moved to the Champs de Mars area in downtown Port-au-Prince.  Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
