Protest in the Champs de Mars Area in Downtown Port-au-Prince, Sent March 22nd at 1PM

The U.S. Embassy informs U.S. citizens of reports of a protest in Port-au-Prince in the Champs de Mars area. U.S. citizens are advised to avoid the area. Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
