Moving Demonstration this afternoon

The Embassy has received reports of a possible demonstration this afternoon. The possible itinerary is as follows: gathering and starting points are St Jean Bosco church, Carrefour Peant and Bel Air to walk towards Rue Tiremasse, Rue St. Martin, carrefour Aviation, Delmas 2, Delmas 18, Carrefour Aeroport, AutoRoute de Delmas, Rue Rigaud, Place Boyer, Rue Metellus, Rue Stephen Archer in front the CEP, Rue Rebecca, Ave Panamericaine, Rue Aubran, Juvenat, Canapé Vert road, Turgeau in front of Sacre Coeur church, Rue Marcelin, Rue Chavannes, Rue Capois and to end in front of MUPANAH at Champ de Mars. All American Citizens are advised to avoid this area. Please keep in mind that demonstrations in Haiti, even peaceful ones, can escalate quickly and even turn violent, so the Embassy urges all U.S. citizens to remain vigilant, be aware of their surroundings, and avoid this area as much as possible. Should you find yourself among or near protesters, depart the area immediately.
