Alert: Security situation (Pegueyville shortcut and vicinity), March 3 at 2pm

Security Alert – U.S. Embassy Port-au-Prince, Haiti (Release Date: March 3, 2018 at 2pm). 

Location: Peguey-Ville shortcut area in Port-au-Prince.

Events: There is an ongoing construction project to smooth the road and it is not currently passable.  Do not attempt to circumvent the immediate area by using side streets/alleys as there are reports of makeshift road blocks where people are demanding money for passage.

Actions to Take: Avoid the area and be aware of your surroundings.
