Nestled deep in the luscious green mountains of Furcy is a small library located in the freshly built new community school building. The IRC-Information Resource Center- caravan made its 2nd stop there, this summer.
With the help of various residents from the area, readers of all ages now have access to a cozy room filled with books and colorful chairs. Claudy, a librarian in training is there to make sure that everything runs smoothly. A happy group of kids quickly gathered to listen to our story “Le garçon qui dompta le vent”, an inspirational tale from the true story of a boy who had a dream to bring electricity and water to his drought devastated hometown in Malawi. A diverse book donation topped off our visit as we left happy and fulfilled to encourage the love of reading.
