Haitian participants Anne Lisberth Jean and Elie Joseph attend the FY2017 Community Solutions’ program welcoming lunch. Among the 2593 applications received from 72 countries, their passion and effectiveness in their work resulted in Haiti securing two key slots. Elie Joseph and Anne Lisberth Jean will respectively acquire practical knowledge on dental care delivery and women empowerment for community development.
They met with their counterparts from Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago during the welcoming lunch for the FY2017 Community Solutions’ program. The program offers Haitians and other community leaders from around the world the chance to improve their capacity in order to impact positively the complex economic, environmental, political, and social challenges in their communities and become ambassadors for mutual understanding. We look forward to seeing how Anne Lisberth Jean and Elie Joseph employ their new tools and connections to impact public dental care and women empowerment for community development.
