Departure of Ambassador Peter Mulrean

The U.S. Embassy announces the departure of Ambassador Peter Mulrean today, February 27, 2017.  Ambassador Mulrean is a career Foreign Service Officer of the U.S. Department of State who, after 29 years of faithful service to his country, has chosen to retire.  He was honored to have served as Ambassador to Haiti and is proud to have supported the successful Haitian electoral process.  Ambassador Mulrean wishes Haiti every success in the next phase of its democratic development.

The U.S. Embassy will be led by Chargé d’Affaires Brian Shukan until a successor is nominated by the White House and confirmed by the Senate.
